International Animal Rescue (IAR) comes to the aid of wild and domestic animals with hands-on rescue and rehabilitation. They return rescued animals to the wild but also provide sanctuary for animals that can’t fend for themselves. They also assist government departments with the introduction and enforcement of sound legislation to protect animals from cruelty and neglect.

IAR specialises in comprehensive sterilisation and inoculation programmes for stray dogs and cats, particularly in developing countries. They have offices in the UK and the US and ongoing projects in India, Indonesia and Malta.

IAR works to educate the public on the compassionate and humane treatment of all animals. They use sound scientific evidence to inform their decisions and determine the course of their rescue operations. In all that they do they aim to find lasting solutions that benefit both animals and people.
